Growing young projects coordinators event

On March 22 and 29 of this year, the project “Growing Young Project Coordinators” presented events for young people, which included young people living in rural areas and those with fewer opportunities. More than 30 participants of the target group took part in the events. The youth learned what Erasmus+ projects are, what are their opportunities to participate in projects according to age groups, and also learned how to write and submit applications and receive funding in youth projects.

The necessity of the “Growing Young Project Coordinators” project was determined by the fact that more and more young people do not trust the EU, they find it difficult to understand its principles, values and functioning. The activities offered in the project are intended for young people and youth organizations to familiarize themselves with European programs, facilitating their access.

Project goals:

1. To include young schoolchildren, students, preferably those with less opportunities or living in rural areas, or members of youth associations who have less opportunities to participate in European youth programs.

2. Facilitate their communication with other countries, promote cooperation, in order to create “the Europe we want” together.

3. To develop specific skills of teachers, mentors and volunteers of participating associations, to facilitate the project activities of young people in Europe.

4. To increase access to Erasmus+ platforms and the number of project proposals provided by youth and small youth associations in the countries participating in the project.

Countries participating in the project: Lithuania, Portugal, Italy, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
