Have you ever found yourself in a debate or a discussion or even an argument in which there was no right side to completely and wholly? Or, perhaps, the whole situation had the appearance of a quarrel?
Perhaps the greater part of the you would respond to that yes, this had happened. So many events occur around that require our participation, and seeking for fairness becomes a serious challenge.
In such a world where there is always friction, where the slings of Mt. Olympus are deftly employed on every occasion, there is an endless list of these. There is no shortage of competing perspectives because youth workers, trainers, and many others involved in youth-related work are often required to take on the role of problem solvers in ongoing disputes, intense arguments, or long-winded discussions. Hence, it would be helpful to think about the autumn training course, TransformAction: Countering Social Conflicts in Youth Work, through which mediators and young civil activists were trained and shared their knowledge of the field.
In recent times, there was a follow up training workshop, Tavo Europa Among The Topics, where we, Tavo Europa were the ones offering practical insights on the matter. The workshop opened with the topic of specific cultures facing certain conflicts and the society’s response, and the participants were able to relate it to conflicts they saw or experienced.
