"Participatory and emancipatory approaches for youth work"
Project in Austria
18-25 August

Country: Austria
Date: 18-25 August
The age of the participants: 20-30 years old
Youth workers often face social-cultural confrontations and conflicts while working with diverse and marginalized communities. Pragmatic approaches to address the social needs of these young individuals are inadequate, and current cultural and social competency methods fail to equip youth workers properly. Our training provides a comprehensive approach, fostering culturally and socially competent practices while handling conflicts safely and constructively. By utilizing innovative conflict transformation practices, we encourage an emancipatory perspective that questions power structures and promotes equality. Critical understanding and thinking help challenge social inequities by analyzing the roots of injustice, empowering youth workers to create positive change in their communities.
Accommodation and meals during the project will be free of charge, travel expenses will be reimbursed upon return.
