Age of participants: 18 +

This Masterclass is open to any curious instrumentalist wishing to support their understanding of Irish music. Together we will learn and arrange a selection of instrumental pieces from the traditional and popular music of Ireland, but also tunes in Gaelic and English.

Darragh (fiddle, guitar and vocals) will focus on several areas of work:

• oral work, learning a melody by ear – ornamentation
• rhythm, groove in instrumental music
• creating arrangements for an ensemble

Masterclass in traditional Irish music with Diane Bucciali and Darragh Quinn. This Masterclass is open to any curious musician (instrumentalist and/or singer) wishing to support their understanding of Irish music. Together we will learn and arrange a selection of instrumental pieces from the traditional and popular music of Ireland, but also tunes in Gaelic and English.

Accommodation during the project will be free of charge, travel expenses will be reimbursed upon return.
