Hi from Portugal!
Our team attended a training course called “Seeds 4 Youth Activism” at the end of October. However, full of amusement, adventure and good time, but also – a productive work. The topic of this training – empowering young people through activism and volunteering is not just an opportunity—it is a necessity for fostering a more inclusive, engaged, and equitable society. As young individuals face barriers such as economic challenges, social inequalities, and limited access to education, it is crucial to equip them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to overcome these obstacles. This e-book serves as a comprehensive guide, offering strategies and resources to inspire youth engagement and strengthen their role in addressing critical issues like climate change and social justice.
By breaking away from traditional approaches and creating innovative, non-formal opportunities for participation, we can ensure that young voices are heard and valued. Moreover, supporting youth workers and educators in their efforts to professionalize and exchange best practices will further enhance the impact of these initiatives. Ultimately, this resource aims to bridge the gap between young people and civic life, fostering a generation that actively contributes to societal progress and the resilience of our democracies.
This time we’d like to share the handbook made by participants themselves with their insights and goal to empower young people to engage in activism and volunteering through non-formal education.
