Giftled 4th newsletter: a Digital Platform for STEAM Teaching

We are excited to present the fourth newsletter of the GIFTLED project! In this edition, a range of updates and resources for educators in STEAM teaching. Among these, important updates on the digital plaftorm! Overall, the project continues to develop innovative tools that enhance learning and make it more inclusive for gifted students.

The GIFTLED Digital Platform: Free Resources for STEAM Teaching

One of the key highlights of this newsletter is the update on the development of the GIFTLED digital platform. This will provide free access to educational resources for STEAM teachers, with a special focus on supporting gifted students. Among these, you will find:

  • Handbook for Teachers based on the Learning-by-Design method, which promotes creative and collaborative learning.
  • Case Studies designed to meet the unique needs of gifted learners.
  • Toolkit Introduction Videos (TIVs) that offer practical instructions on how to implement various digital technologies in the classroom.

Overall, these resources aim to empower teachers to create more engaging and inclusive STEAM education experiences. We are committed to leveraging the power of digital technologies for effective teaching.

A New Handbook for STEAM Teaching

In this edition, we introduce a dedicated handbook for STEAM teachers. This resource facilitates the integration of gifted students into lessons while enhancing engagement. Teachers will find practical suggestions for customizing lessons, addressing diversity, and promoting a stimulating environment for students.

March meeting: new Updates for STEAM Teaching

On 22th March, we joined an online meeting with other project partners to discuss the progress in developing educational resources. During this meeting, we finalized the scripts for the Toolkit Introduction Videos (TIVs) and began the production and editing phases of the video materials. Furthermore, we also assessed the overall quality of the project and updated our plans for future activities. Among these, a summer meeting in Poland to further enhance the platform and the resources for teachers.

What to Expect from the GIFTLED Digital Platform

The GIFTLED digital platform will serve as more than just a resource hub for teachers and trainers. In essence, it will become an open and collaborative space for anyone looking to improve their approach to STEAM education. Additionally, the platform will be accessible in several languages, including English, Spanish, Greek, Lithuanian, Turkish, and Polish.
