The training course, ‘Social Media –Reach and Engage Marginalised Youth’, designed for youth workers and youth leaders took place in Tiverton, Devon in November 2022.

The seven-day event, co-funded by the European Union, was hosted by a London- based non-profit organisation Dragon Eggs Digital CIC.

The international event was attended by 34 delegates representing organisations from Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Turkey and United Kingdom. The aim of the training course was to better understand the challenges marginalised young people are facing today, including digital accessibility relating challenges, and to exchange solutions to modernise the youth work practice. This was achieved by international cooperation of youth workers and youth leaders who spent the week co-living and studying together.

The activity was carried out using non-formal and informal education teaching methods and hosted in a family-style environment where the participants could feel like they are at home. The participants also had an opportunity to enhance their Youthpass competencies, as well as intercultural, professional and life skills. Dragon Eggs Digital CIC mission is to empower young people and community members with digital skills and life skills while supporting positive mental wellbeing outcomes.
