Aušra shared her impressions of the training that took place in February in Porto, Portugal:
February 8-16 I participated in the training: “Competence Factory” in Porto, Portugal. There were participants from nine countries: The Netherlands, Slovakia, Croatia, Greece, Lithuania, Estonia, Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania. The purpose of this particular training – to learn to work with vulnerable youth, to promote their activities and entrepreneurship, to share experience with other specialists. During them, the competencies of the teacher and social worker were analyzed: communication, cooperation with different age groups, inclusion of the environment in the educational process, etc. with unmotivated, socially damaged students. During the training, the main aim was to discover strategies and methods for working with young people, responding to their interests and abilities, avoiding instructions and rules, flexibly through games and individual group activities. The result of this project was created through the scope of activities in the working groups that we have planned.
