Duration: 01-11-2021 – 01-11-2023

Project number: 2021-1-RO01-KA220-YOU-000029265

The partner organizations come from different areas of EU sharing although a constantant preoccupation for developping inclusive projects for young people and especially for preparing youth workers to design and implement activities that address youth needs, challenges and opportunities. With this project the 5 partner organizations wish to address some of the most pressing needs they have identified at their level, at the level of their staff as well as at the level of the target groups of thier activity. The final aim is to have 5 partner organizations with increased capacity to deliver youth project/programmes or activities reaching out more audiences while making use at most of the existing digital tools that cand be adapted or integrated into their activity in order to bring more effective trainings, courses, seminars, debates or actions that actively involve young people, especially the ones often marginalized from rural areas or minorities. The 5 participant organizations have conducted an internal analysis of their needs (a survey and focus group with their staff) and have registered the following pressing needs: 1. need for better networking tools, transnational cooperation and best practices exchanges – two of the partners have not ever been involved in any transnational cooperation projects, while others have participated but are in need of strong connections with partners from all over the EU. 2. need for digital literacy for their staff – 80% of the staff from the partner organizations consider they know little about the available tools they can use in their actitivity and how to incorporte new technologies in their activities 3. need for more youth workers better prepared to work especially with young people from disadvantaged communities – except of the one partner, the rest of them have difficulties in identifying sufficient youth workers, in motivating them enough to work on the long term with young people, especially youngsters with fewer opportunities and to offer their youth workers the needed environments for continous development and constant exchange of opinions, views with other professionals. 4. need for better tools, approaches or a compendium of the best practices and instruments (with focus on new instruments) that work when dealing with young people from disadvantaged communities. At the same time, the partners have identified the following main needs of the youth workers they work with or they have previously cooperated with (an inquiry conducted among 120 youth workers): 1. needs for accessibility to best practices, to digital tools 2. adequate materials to self-educate them in the field of working with rural youth that face different challenges than rest of the young people 3. improve their digital competences and be more aware of new digital instruments than can be easily and successfully used in youth projects 4. a better understanding on methods they can use to attract and motivate young people from rural areas to participate to different activities that can improve their skills, inclusion, preparedness to professional, personal or famility life. 5. need for more opportunities to cooperate with other youth workers from other countries. On a different level, the organization wish to address young people needs they have identified, especially for young people from rural areas like: 1. need to be involved in the democratic life of their communities and learn how they can to this in order to prevent self-marginalization or deprivation from community life benefits; 2. need to identify local leaders, youth workers or organisations they can contact in order to develop new skills, competences attitudes; 3. need to feel they are wanted by the society and not marginalised and that they have value for their community 4. need to socialize with other young people, connect among themselves and interact for the better development of the community and of themselves.
